Wedges
Wedges are very similar to triangles. All rules that apply to triangles are applied to wedges too. They only differ in their appearance, it can be said that the wedges are asymmetric triangles.
Wedge apex can be oriented upward or downward. Wedges oriented downward occur in the upward trend, while the upward oriented wedges occur in the downward trend.
Wedges may also appear in case of trend reversal. But that situation is not common, so that wedges belong to continuation patterns.
